ALTUM collaborates with AISTER in the construction project of two Oil Spill Response Vessels for the Panama Canal.

The Oil Spill Response Vessel (OSRV) is 12.5 meters long and 4.2 meters wide and is currently in the outfitting phase after completion of aluminum and paint work. AISTER is on schedule with the objective of entering the sea trials phase at the end of December and in January the vessel will be transported to Panama, where training and commissioning will take place.

These ships are designed to provide rapid response to emergencies, with immediate readiness. In addition, these OSRVs are ideal for working in port areas due to their dimensions and equipment.

The design of the Oil Spill Response Vessel is intended to leave ample space on deck to carry both equipment and anti-pollution booms as well as a half-ton capacity davit for launching protection elements.

This ample deck space even allows the transfer of containers for the deposit of solid waste.

The vessel complies with Bureau Veritas standards as well as in several aspects with American regulations: USCG (US Coastguard) and ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council).
